Dancers

2026

Paired figures cut in stone, held at the height of the movement.

Each work in Dancers begins as a single silhouette and is cut back until two bodies emerge from one plane — the veining of the stone left to carry the rhythm.

First Waltz — a layered breccia marble silhouette of two dancers embracing, mounted on a brass rod above a black granite base.

Two figures turning as one. Layered profiles set the skirt in motion, and the black veining runs diagonally through both bodies.

Raised Arch — a blue sodalite silhouette of two dancers with joined arms forming an arch, on a white Carrara marble base.

The lifted arms close into a single arch overhead. Gold veining crosses the blue stone along the line of the turn.

Tango Cut — a translucent banded red agate sculpture of a dancing pair, on a black granite base.

A pair reduced to one continuous ribbon of banded agate — the lean of the tango carried by the stone's own layering.
